Building a world where anyone can follow the path to learning anything they want, for free, supported by all the resources the internet has to offer, peer-reviewed by people who have done it themselves.
Anyone on Earth can watch a lecture from MIT, read a physics paper, or find ten thousand videos on growing tomatoes. And still, learning anything feels like walking through a library where every book is just scattered across the floor in piles.
To survive the massive flood of options, we lean on algorithms; an automatic feed we are hoping will bless us with something relevant between the things it's just showing to keep your attention.
Every map has a named maintainer. A real person with real knowledge of the subject, whose name is on the work. They set the standard and have final say.
Anyone can contribute. Found a better video? A broken link? A step that should come earlier? Propose the change. The maintainer reviews and merges. Think the owner of a map is wrong? Branch it and make your own version to share.
Unimpeded to access: every resource on every map must be freely and legally accessible to everyone. No paywalls, no "just buy the textbook," no region locks. Atlearn values above all, a gold-standard video, an open-access paper, a public-domain classic, a free tool. If the whole world can't open it, it doesn't belong on a map.

Reading the maps is anonymous and free — we hold nothing about you, and there is nothing to track. Nothing is stored on your device either. Progress, notes, personal versions, and shelves exist only once you sign in, in your own server record.
Your identity: the display name, email, and user id your sign-in provider (Google or Apple) shares. We create no passwords and see none.
Your progress and notes: stored in one private database record that only your account can read or write — enforced server-side by the database's security rules, which are public in the project repository.
Contributions are public speech. Suggestions and proposals carry your display name to the map's maintainer; a merged change lands in the public GitHub repository, permanently attributed to you, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Collections and personal versions you create are public pages showing your display name.
No ads. No analytics or tracking scripts. No selling, sharing, or profiling. The app talks to exactly two services: Firebase (accounts and database) and GitHub Pages (the maps themselves).
Download my data — on your account page, one click exports everything as JSON.
Delete my account — also on your account page. Removes your identity, progress, notes, personal versions, shelves, and any contributions still waiting for review. Contributions already merged into maps remain part of the public record under their license — like a merged pull request, they've become part of the commons.

Viewing is free, forever, for everyone. Supporting the project funds the work and will never buy features, placement, or say in what the maps teach.
